Girl Guides Victoria Takes Flight for Djirra

Girl Guides Victoria has been proudly flying in the Birdman Rally for many years. It's a fun and creative way to live our Guiding values, especially service and community. 

This year, our flight crew are excited to fundraise for Djirra through our entry, combining teamwork, imagination, and a commitment to making a difference.

We chose to support Djirra because their mission strongly aligns with our values as Girl Guides - empowering women, promoting safety, and fostering community. Djirra is a non-profit Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisation with over 20 years experience supporting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women and their children who have experienced family violence. Their commitment to resilience, care, and empowerment reflects the spirit Girl Guides strive to uphold.

Our Birdman Rally craft showcases creativity, sustainability, and plenty of Girl Guide ingenuity and spirit. We might not have the fanciest or fastest craft on the river, but our brave pilot Sammy will bring lots of colour and fight and give it her very best Girl Guide leap!
